Meagan Monique Good was born on August 8 1981 in the Panorama City neighborhood of Los Angeles to Tyra Wardlow-Doyle her mother who managed her in her teens. Her father Leondis Leon Good is an LAPD police officer. Her acting career began at age four. She grew up in Canyon Country, California with three of her siblings. In the early stages of her career, she was an extra in television shows like Doogie Howser Amen and M.D. She was 13 when she starred in her debut film Friday. First gaining attention during 1997 due to her performance as Cisely batiste (a teenager who is struggling) on Eve's Bayou, for which she won two nominations as well as an N.A.A.C.P.
