Kathrin Romany Beckinsale, born 26 July 1973.[1][2][3[1][2][3] Kathrin Romany Beckinsale is an English actress. Her first film appearance came after several small TV roles. She was an Oxford University student at the time of Much Ado About Nothing (1993). She has been in British dramas such as Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), Shooting Fish (1997), and The Golden Bowl ((2000). In the latter part of the 1990s, Beckinsale began film work in America. After starring in the small-scale dramas The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), Beckinsale appeared in Pearl Harbor (2001), Serendipity (2001) and Tiptoes (2003). She followed those with starring roles in The Aviator (2004) and Click (2006). All of these films established her as a leading character in Hollywood.Since her role as Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has gained a reputation for her work in action films, including Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012), and Total Recall (2012). She still appears in small dramatic projects such as Snow Angels (2007) and Nothing but the Truth (2008). She received positive reviews for her performances in the films' first two installments. The year 2016 brought praise from critics. She was awarded the Critics' Choice Movie Award for the best actress in a comedy for Love & Friendship. Jolt (1921) brought her back to action-film. Also, she starred in Jolt (2021), The Widow (1919) and Guilty Party (2021).
